Position Summary

A Staff Accountant I must apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed below.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Essential functions for this position relate to the accounting functions for an assigned portfolio of properties which is subject to change.

• Prepares cash availabilities for assigned portfolio
• Prepares and books monthly accruals
• Completes monthly reconciliations
• Maintains supporting schedules for financial statement accounts
• Prepare audit packages as requested
• Prepare monthly financials
• Review and reclassify invoice coding to proper accounts as necessary
• Prepare replacement reserve requests
• Research banking issues
• Provide additional reports as requested
• Distribute monthly financial packages
• Calculate monthly management fees
• Compile budget data for accounting related items needed in property budgets
• Meet all designated deadlines including but not limited to monthly financial packages and audits.
• Follow established Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree with major in accounting/finance or a minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training
• Experience: 3 years or more of accounting experience.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Certificates & Licenses: None Required
• Other Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States
