Overview Diocese of Joliet Catholic Schools - 2026-2027 Theology Teacher (Grades: 9-12). Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox, IL. Position Available: 08/2026. Full-time, Benefit Eligible. Instructs Theology through the Bishop's Framework. Integrates technology in classroom teaching. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Provides academic interventions to at-risk learners. Exhibits strong classroom management skills and collaboration skills. Integrates literacy skills into curriculum. Utilizes a variety of authentic assessment strategies. Certifications and Requirements (May be completed after hire) DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate Illinois Sexual Harassment Training Certificate Diocese of Joliet Protecting God's Children Diocese of Joliet Fingerprinting & Background Check Work Physical/Statement of Health from Physician Education and Experience It is preferred that candidates hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or a valid out-of-state certificate from a state with which Illinois has reciprocity. Also, the candidate may be enrolled in an accredited program working toward professional licensure. Holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Theology.
