Clarity HR Solutions is working in partnership with Ohana Montessori School and is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our growing educational community. We are looking for an educator who believes in fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning while creating a safe and engaging environment for children.

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement Montessori curriculum and classroom activities aligned with the developmental needs of children.
• Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging Montessori learning environment.
• Guide children through individualized learning experiences while encouraging independence and self-confidence.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Maintain compliance with California Community Care Licensing regulations and school policies.
• Supervise children during classroom, playground, meal, and transition times.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

To meet California licensing requirements for preschool teachers, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units , including:
• Child Growth and Development (3 units)
• Child, Family, and Community (3 units)
• Curriculum (3 units)
• An additional ECE course (3 units)

Preferred Qualifications

• Montessori Credential from an accredited Montessori training program (AMI, AMS, MACTE-accredited, or equivalent).
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience teaching in a Montessori classroom.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse families and children.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the classroom throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.
