Job Summary Special Events Coordinator — Plan, organize, coordinate, promote and execute special events for Augusta University partners. Serve as a resource for the AU Campus community advising on protocol and educating internal and external partners regarding event standards, protocols, and etiquette. Details Location: Augusta University Campus locations: Health Sciences Campus, Summerville Campus (addresses shown in original) Job Type: Full Time Pay band: B9 Salary range: $48,800 annually to $58,240 annually Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate, promote, oversee, and/or facilitate special events for the enterprise. Collaborate with external and internal partners to develop new events while maintaining, organizing, and facilitating existing projects from concept to completion. Use enterprise and community knowledge to assist customers in developing event concepts, timelines, budgets, logistics schedules and securing venues. Establish, foster and maintain cooperative and professional relationships with sponsors, vendors, and other internal and external partners to ensure the enterprise is well represented. Continually seek opportunities for professional and personal growth beneficial to the enterprise. Develop protocols for all events held on and off campus. Educate internal and external partners regarding protocol, event standards, etiquette and related issues to enhance partnerships and outcomes. Develop effective curriculum, deliver training and serve as a resource for internal partners responsible for meetings and events within their department. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in event planning. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university Event planning, public relations, marketing principles and practices and fundraising experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge: Envision an event from concept to completion based on client needs. Understand event psychology, color, item placement, seating, and the overall event experience. Communicate the enterprise standard and help others align with it. Manage events while remaining fiscally responsible of Enterprise resources. Skills: Develop and maintain relationships between internal and external partners. Communicate effectively with senior leadership, faculty, staff, volunteers and others in writing and in person. Create a friendly, safe learning environment during trainings and maintain confidentiality.
