FDRsafety is seeking a  Safety Coordinator to support and oversee safety operations across multiple commercial construction job sites in the Washington, PA area. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, leading site safety initiatives, and promoting a strong culture of safety across field teams. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with project teams to conduct inspections, support fall protection planning, and proactively identify and resolve safety concerns. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that will offer a generous base salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

Field Safety Oversight

• Travel to active job sites to monitor and enforce safety compliance.
• Conduct  pre-job safety inspections and participate in project kickoff meetings.
• Perform regular  site safety audits and crew safety evaluations .
• Review and verify  on-site safety documentation and compliance records .

Fall Protection & Risk Management

• Assist in the development and implementation of  fall protection plans .
• Review and approve fall protection and safety-related procedures.
• Provide guidance to field crews on best practices related to fall prevention and job site safety.

Compliance & Training

• Ensure compliance with  OSHA regulations and company safety policies .
• Identify safety violations and collaborate with internal teams to address and correct issues.
• Attend and participate in  OSHA trainings, safety meetings, and continuing education .
• Support ongoing safety training initiatives for field personnel.

Communication & Reporting

• Serve as a resource for project teams regarding safety concerns and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate safety findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

Required

• 2–5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably within commercial construction or roofing environments.
• Strong understanding of  OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements .
• Experience with  fall protection systems and job site safety protocols .
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required .
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in  Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred.

• Ability to work independently in field-based environments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple job sites.
