Position Description Proofread stories, text within videos, and social media content Craft compelling and searchable headlines and subheads that inform, encourage readers to click into the story, and have a tone that reflects the NewsNation identity Write headlines and captions on YouTube that inform and convince people to watch Utilize SEO best practices Edit wire and local network‑affiliated content for a national audience to ensure standards for journalistic integrity and production quality are met Social media publishing Homepage management Clip broadcast segments for publishing across all digital platforms and social media channels This job is based in Chicago. Qualifications 3+ years working as a copy editor or similar role in a major newsroom Experience in national newsrooms, and specifically in national television newsrooms, is a plus Strong knowledge of search engine optimization Experience working with content management systems like WordPress Experience working with video inside Anvato, BitCentral, OBS or Latakoo is a plus Excellent communicator, both oral and written Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 Annually Benefits Our comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees includes, but is not limited to, medical (with multiple plan options), dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) with company matching contributions, paid parental leave, life insurance, and more.
